The Photographer (3D glasses required). I’m currently working on a 3D anaglyph series mostly as a reaction to instagram culture. Since few people have 3D glasses, an anaglyph is something that must be seen in person for the full effect, especially in its highest resolution. The lifelike quality is truly stunning. It’s like gazing through a window. One sees details and dimension not possible any other way. The technology is nothing new, though it, like alternative processes, has fallen out of favor in recent decades. It’s also difficult and time consuming to get the effect just right.
